DM2 SOFTWARE’S NEW ‘EQUIPMENT MANAGER’ MODULE MONITORS CUSTOMER AGREEMENTS ON LOANED EQUIPMENT

VANCOUVER WA, September 18, 2003: DM2 Software’s new Equipment Manager module automatically monitors and reports on customer agreements for loaned equipment, enabling petroleum distributors to quickly gauge the profitability of individual pieces of equipment and assess whether customer agreements are being fulfilled.

Equipment Manager uses contracted volumes and other measures to evaluate profitability of equipment (i.e., tanks, pumps, meters, etc.) and performance of the individual agreements that cover them. The user can create performance reports immediately after setting up serialized equipment and individual customer agreements in Equipment Manager.

Equipment Manager automatically updates customer agreements—with quantities and dollar amounts—as sales order information is entered into the distributor’s Sales Order software. The user can view historical transaction history, including date, agreement number, customer, type of transaction (equipment installation or removal, product sales, etc.) and other variables. It also provides a list of agreements that will expire within a given date range.

Equipment Manager is completely integrated with and offers the popular, easy-to-use use features of MAS 90 and MAS 200 Sales Order, Inventory Management and Accounts Receivable modules from BEST Software of Irvine CA. Equipment Manager runs on Microsoft’s Windows 98, ME, XP and 2000 operating systems.

“Timely, accurate monitoring of loaned equipment is a key to profitability of customer agreements,” said Carl Dalton, DM2’s vice president of sales. “Equipment Manager helps petroleum distributors obtain the information they need to help ensure that profitability.”
